I am a Japanese-American psychologist. Okashiwa is my family name but I don't know Japanese. My family has been American for four generations.

I am a Buddhist, a practioner of Zen meditation, and have a keen interest in Asian culture.
I am a gay, Asian, male, and am glad I came out when I was 16. I could not live a lie.
I am a psychologist with five years clinical experience as a therapist.
I am now an independent consultant and private therapist working out of my home in Greenwich Village.
